Course Description:
This highly interactive two day session complements
CMVCIC Level I. Practical applications are demonstrated and student
teams of two spend time investigating a re-created collision with
instructor guidance. The objective is to enable students to demonstrate
how to completely investigate a collision.
Course Content:
- Review of level 1
- Field Sketch Requirements
- Collision scene photography
- Witness interviewing
- Attendance at a collision scenario for measurements, filed
sketch, photography,
- interviews, etc.
- Summary of Level II graduation requirements
Within 2 weeks of completing the course, students will submit
the following for marking:
- Field Sketch
- Scale Drawing
- Chain of Event Description
- Speed Calculation
- Supporting Photographs of the collision scene
- Statements, police report review
- Preventable/non-preventable discussion and recommendations

THSAO Commercial Motor Vehicle Collision Investigation
Level I
Who should attend:
Safety officers, driver trainers, joint health
and safety committee members, managers and anyone involved in their
company's collision investigation program.
